Born and raised in Everett, I completed undergraduate, graduate and law school studies at Gonzaga University, and served for nearly four years as bailiff in Division III of the Court of Appeals. Following law school I clerked for two years with Snohomish County Superior Court Judge Larry McKeeman.

For the last 13 years I have been in private practice in Everett, five of those years as a partner with Tom Adams. Currently I have a solo general practice in Everett, but my legal skills have been tested at every level of courts in the State of Washington. Over the course of my practice, I have litigated cases from Bellingham to Vancouver; from Forks to Colfax; tried cases in Municipal, District, Superior courts and in the Tulalip Tribal Court; and have argued cases in the State Court of Appeals, and the Federal District Court for Western Washington.

My experience includes trying criminal cases from murder to speeding tickets; civil trial practice from simple rental agreements to employment discrimination; and all areas of family law, personal injury, estate work, criminal defense, and real estate. I have had the great fortune to successfully argue two cases before the Washington State Supreme Court:

• King v. Snohomish County, 146 Wn.2d 420 (2002)
• Morin v. Burris, 160 Wn.2d 745 (2007)

As the son of the late Judge John F. Wilson, I grew up understanding the critical importance of the judiciary to our democracy and have seen first hand the commitment that is required. Now my wife, Cecilia, and I are raising our sons, John Ryan, age 7, and Peter Ronan, age 4, here in Everett and I want to continue my contributions to this community. As a judge, I’ll apply the law in impartially. I’ll bring values of fairness and equality to the bench and a professional and personal background that makes me uniquely qualified to become a Superior Court Judge.
